Here's a text describing the Light Alliance:

The Light Alliance Federation (LAF) is a NGO focused on the purpose of installation and experimentation of the cities and technologies of the future, using science and spirituality to achieve a fair, inclusive and egalitarian social design.
We are a regular Association based in Brazil and funded on 2009, in regards of the article 53 of Brazilian civilian law's codes.
Primary characterized as a scientific and social development association, the LAF nowadays is researching forms to implement Cooperative and solidary communities, mainly focused on Resource Based Economy, and direct democracy.
This kind of Ecovillage settlement is called "Ecopole", which is a Truly Planned Living Space (PLS), where people can share resources, goods, installations and exchange services, knowledge and cultivate a mutual caring mood of each other.
Our approach is based in the presumption that people don't practices this kind of living, cause there is no viable established model, apart from that one offered by the capitalist paradigm which is supported by debt and interests.
We are faithfully engaged into demonstrate that truly science and spirituality, not that ones owned and ruled by the economic and religious power, but those ones whose can be used to improve quality of life and harmonize relationships between humans.
Apart of that, we are conscious that human been is not wholly understood only by the scientific approach, and nevertheless we do believe that science is a assertive tool able for the search of the truth, we still aren't capable to define the human soul in all its varieties.
So, it is necessary big efforts to bring spiritual and transdisciplinary approach into place, to achieve our goal of bring happiness, quality of life, physical and mental health to our population as well keep forwarding the progress and development of our society.

• Increase quality of life, freedom and independence of every human been.
• Bring Science to a level of independence from Egos and Economics,
• Harmonize human's relationships in a way of peace and respect through a spiritual and transdisplinary approach of each individual.

• Assure the continuity of human specie and avoid complete collapses of nature and its resources.

We are seeking for help in any level we can. In that goal, we are wandering to be part of a global movement, linking communities around the globe in a network of sharing ideas, citizens, knowledge and mainly a fraternal spirit of brotherhood of humankind.
We think that we are able to accomplish this settlement in a few years, as long as Brazil has a huge human potential, a good growth economy, natural resources, and for while; a favorable agricultural climate.
However, our country is internationally known, for having one of the worst wealth distribution in the world. That's why we need this project. As long as we are able to establish economic models of association and cooperation, using what we call Solidary Economic Enterprising and creating a network of production, distribution and sharing resources and goods, we will be able to generate better incoming for families and citizens and finally allowing people to be free and almost independent from the currently economic system .
So, self-sufficiency is a must to accomplish part of our mission.
In order to do so, we are currently encourage and support our members to study communities around the word to share experiences and knowledge and eventually in the near future we will be able to receive citizens from other communities to visit and live in some of our Ecopoles.
