I grew up on a farm in Alberta and one of the shows that my dad watched was The Prairie Farm Report. It supports industrialized agriculture :-( but it does features on farm inventions and you might be able to get some ideas from it. Some of them are about energy independance. More importantly though is I believe that your inventions seem like they would fit on it and thus that would be increased exposure through TV. :-)
